2008 Disney Dining Packages

For 2008, Walt Disney World has made some significant changes to the Disney Dining Plan, and added a new dining plan, the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan.

2008 Disney Dining Plan

For 2008, the Disney Dining plan remains mostly intact from 2007. There are a few changes though:

• Table Service Meals no longer include an appetizer
• Gratuities are not longer included for any of the meals
• Cost reduced to $37.99 per adult and $9.99 per child per night of your stay

There has been a serious reduction in the inclusions for table service meals. While some people may miss the appetizer, all guests will miss the fact that gratuities are no longer included on the meals. While this change makes it so that the Disney Dinig plan is not longer the fantastic deal it used to be, it is still a decent deal for most guests vistiing Walt Disney World. In your planning, remember to take into account the food you will now be getting for everyone, and the cost of what the gratuities will add to your total bill.

2008 Deluxe Disney Dining Plan

Walt Disney has introduced a brand new dining plan for 2008, to fill the void between the Disney Dining Plan and the Premium and Platinum Plans. Many guests had expressed a desire to have all their meals included in their dining plan, but they did not want to pay for all the extras included in the Premium plan. Walt Disney World has come up with a fantastic plan:

• Three meals per night per person
• Meals can be used for either table serice meals or counter service meals, very flexible
• Appetizer included for all table service meals
• Cost is $69.99 per adult and $19.99 per child per night of your stay

This is a great plan for those looking for all their meals to be included. The plan also gives you ultimate flexibility to choose where you want to eat and when. If you plan on doing mostly counter service meals duriing your stay, you will be better off sticking with the Disney Dining Plan and paying cash for any excess meals you buy. If you want to do two table service meals per day, or three, this is the plan for you. One other nice aspect of this plan is that it would allow you to use two of the meals for one of the signature restaurants, so you could do a nice character breakfast in the morning with your kids, a counter service for lunch (pay out of your own pocket) and then a signature restaurant for dinner. Please remember during your planning that gratuties are not included with this plan either, so that cost needs to be factored in.
